I don't profess to be some sort of musical expert.  My taste in music extends about as far "That sounds good," and then just listneing to what experts recommend.  I do know that the experts recommend Eno.  He's a legendary music producer who has worked as a producer on classic albums like U2's "The Joshua Tree" and most recently on Coldplay's latest album, "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends".

Eno is now on board to score Peter Jackson's latest film, "The Lovely Bones".  If I understood music better, I could make a more accurate analysis of this choice since I've read the book and I know that kind of music I'd use.  The main word I'd use to describe the music needed is "bittersweet".  Yes, there are elements both brutal and fantastic in the book, but the story of a young girl who will never grow up as she watches her family fall apart and rebuild as a result of her murder is, simply put, bittersweet.  I don't know how you put that into music but Eno's been around long enough to figure it out.

Unless they're going in a complete different direction with this thing and Jackson's asked Eno to create a score along the lines of "Yakety Sax".
