Jerry Bruckheimer talks briefly about LONE RANGER and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4

Just an hour ago I was on the Walt Disney lot in Burbank as a reporter for our partner website Omelete. We were invited to see some early footage from super producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s upcoming animated film “G-Force”, and also participate in asking him a few questions.

While I’ll be posting what I thought about the “G-Force” footage soon, he briefly discussed “The Lone Ranger” and “Pirates of the Caribbean 4”, so here’s what he said about both of those films:

·         Jerry said it’s possible that both “The Lone Ranger” and “Pirates of the Caribbean 4” could be done in 3-D

·         He said that “The Lone Ranger” is aimed at the same audience as the “Pirates” trilogy – 10 year olds and up

·         The last bit of news Jerry said was after the other journalists left the room. I walked up to him and asked about director Gore Verbinski leaving the “Pirates” world for “Bioshock”. Jerry confirmed that Gore is NOT directing “Pirates 4” and when I asked him who might do it, he said they’re still trying to figure that out.

After I got in my question about Gore leaving the franchise, I really wanted to ask about some of Jerry’s other projects like “Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, but I got the vibe he only wanted to focus on “G-Force”, so I left him alone and walked to the elevator. There is always next time….

Look for my write-up on “G-Force” later tonight. And I've joined the ever growing world of Twitter....
