Matthew Fox has signed on for Warner Bros' adaptation of Oni Press' "Billy Smoke".  The story follows an elite hit man who is nearly killed on a botched job.  His epiphany is that the only way to redeem himself is to kill every assassin in the world.  Unfortunately, they don't have conventions so it takes a lot of time.  Fox, who I really enjoyed in "Speed Racer", isn't a bad choice and while it seems like an odd casting choice to have Fox play an assassin, hopefully he'll have fun with it and not look like he's on the verge of tears.

But this seems like a premise that's great for a comic or even a television show, but kinda crappy for a two hour film.  Then again, I thought "Wanted" was a wretched comic and the film turned out to be loads of fun.  Best of luck to them.  At the very least, we'll all get to bathe in Mathew Fox's tears.
