JERICHO Cancelled

If you are a fan of the show “Jericho” you probably heard over the weekend that the show was cancelled by CBS. Clever, don’t you think; announcing right before Easter weekend while folks were distracted by visiting guests and chocolate bunnies, giving them little chance to stock up on pounds of protest peanuts?

So in case you were otherwise engaged, let me say again that it is all over for the residents of Jericho, Kansas. Sorry obsessive fan-base, your peanuts were all in vain.

Well, at least now you know which of the two season two finales you will be seeing this Tuesday… it will be the one that doesn’t fade to black mysteriously. All storylines will be wrapped up and perhaps they’ll even kill Skeet Ulrich for good measure – CBS really doesn’t want to put any more money behind this show.

“Without question there are passionate viewers watching this program, we simply wish there were more” CBS said in their statement.

See that? It’s your fault the show got cancelled! You should have tuned every TV in your house to “Jericho” if you really wanted to save it. Or maybe gone door to door in your neighborhood and forced people to tune in. Wouldn’t that have been better than mailing peanuts? I know that season two was a hard sell - what with only seven episodes and a severely limited budget - but this was the show that you fought for and won! Those “Enterprise” geeks should have been so lucky! And how do you celebrate your honey-roasted victory? By giving CBS even lower ratings for “Jericho” 2.0 than it “enjoyed” when it had a full cast and huge budget… you only have yourselves to blame.

Wonder how long it will take for Sci-Fi to revive “Jerichohere.
