With CBS’s hit reality show “Survivor” getting ready to start back up with new episodes in a few weeks, the network has sent over a preview of the 17th season. The big deal about this season is…it’s the first to air in High Definition.

And since I don’t know a thing about the new rules…here’s what EW just posted:

As for the format, the biggest twist of Survivor: Gabon involves Exile (formerly Exile Island). “When you go to Exile this time you can either get a clue that will help you find the hidden immunity idol, or you can get ‘instant comfort’ — a nice thing to sleep on, some food, some fruit,” explains host Jeff Probst. “Depending upon the time, we’ll make the temptation bigger and bigger. The idea was to see if anybody would be dumb enough to choose comfort over the only thing that guarantees you to stick in the game, which is immunity.”

While I’m sure these new changes aren’t going to bring in new fans, for those who’ve been watching year after year, anything that changes the game up is a welcome twist.

“Survivor: Gabon” starts Sep. 25^th with a two-hour episode. Here’s that preview.
