I have just found out that the premiere of the 4th and final season of “Battlestar Galactica” will be April 4th. I have also confirmed that even though the 4th season was originally supposed to be 22 episodes, only 10 were completed before the writers’ strike, so that’s all we’re going to get for quite awhile.
If you haven’t been watching this Peabody Award winning show, you’ve got plenty of time to catch up before the premiere. Also, unlike previous seasons which weren’t originally broadcast in HD even though it’s made and mastered in the format, if you’ve got DirecTV you can now watch Sci-Fi in HD if you’ve got the new equipment.
And if you already have DirecTV but didn’t know they’ve launched new satellites to expand their HD capability… they have and it’s great. While I don’t mean for this to be an infomercial for their product, as far as I know they’re the only ones that have Sci-Fi in HD so I’m trying to help everyone out who doesn’t yet know about it. Also, if you’re already a subscriber, they’ll give you all the new equipment for free. Okay, I’m now done selling their stuff, back to "Galactica."
While I’ve written that the past season wasn’t as good as the first two, I recently watched the made for DVD movie “Razor” and was blown away by the quality. It’s as good as anything they’ve ever done and if the movie was any indicator of what’s coming up this season…we’re all in for a great ride.
Again, “Battlestar Galactica” season 4 premieres on April 4th.
