While I’ve been focusing all of my time on movies and DVDs, every once in awhile a video game story will pop up that I want to cover. For the most part the games that get covered are the big releases or the ones that have to do with big movie properties, like today.

I’ve been supplied with a trailer for the upcoming Transformers video game. The reason why you want to see this is the trailer features the voice of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and it’s been recently recorded so this should be what he sounds like in the Michael Bay movie…

After listening he still sounds like Optimus.. but I think, at least in this recording, like he’s trying really hard.

The trailer makes it seem like you can play as either the Autobots or Decptacons, but the best part is seeing the transformations. It looks like you can be driving, hit a button and transform into your robot. This is a property perfectly suited for the video game world.

You can either watch the trailer below or click here to download a QuickTime version. I’ll warn you, the QuickTime version is huge and it might take awhile to download so I made the flash player below a little bit larger than usual so you might want to stick with that version. And below that are some of the covers for the game, as you can see it’s coming for every system out there.

The Transformers game is due on June 26th.
