Solid Snake Takes Hollywood, The Big Apple and San Francisco

As the old adage goes, bite the tail of the dog that bit you. Thus, for those of you still recovering from the big launch that was GTA4, be prepared for another launch buzz: Solid Snake is back on June 11.

At both the Best Buy in West Hollywood and Times Square’s Virgin Megastore, Snake groupies will hit fanboy paydirt when the clock strikes midnight on June 11. If you live in the Bay Area, your big day comes 3 days later (June 14 from 4-6 @ the Metreon’s PS Store).

To coincide with the launch of Konami’s ‘Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots’ (MGS4) for the PS3, NYC-based playa’s will have the opportunity to meet series creator and gaming legend Hideo Kojima plus producers Kenichiro Imaizumi and Ryan Payton.

The L.A. offering gets a bit of sloppy seconds, featuring David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake, plus Yumi Kikuchi, a hottie used to model the game’s "beauties" enemies.

Patience is a virtue, however, as all 4 will appear at the June 14, San Francisco gala. That’s right, Bay area folks: you can have your Solid Snake and eat it too.

Konami notes that autographs will be limited to the event periods only (11:45p-1a in NYC and L.A. on June 11; 4-6p in S.F. on June 14).

‘Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots’ will retail for $59.99, likewise coincide with a new MGS4 edition, 80GB PS3 console dualshock controller ($499).
