The more I see and hear, the more convinced I am that "Batman: Arkham Asylum" is going to be the first "Batman" game to get it right.  Yes, the early NES "Batman" games were alright and "Lego Batman" was as fun as all the other Lego games, but this is the first game that seems to understand the character's abilities beyond just throwing punches.

As you can see from this new trailer, there's a heavy emphasis on stealth which makes a lot of sense for a guy that dresses in black and works at night.  It makes even more sense if he's prowling around Arkham Asylum and the entire populace wants him dead.

In addition to the stealth element, Batman will also have to do detective work.  Gosh, it seems like even including the movies, this is the first "Batman" property to get it right since "The Animated Series".  Oh, and who wrote the game?  Paul Dini co-creator of "Batman: TAS".  And who's voicing Batman and The Joker?  Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, their voices from "Batman: TAS".

Check out the new trailer below.  "Batman: Arkham Asylum" hits PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows on June 9th and it can't get here fast enough.
